Since the disagreement with the presidential election on December 27th in Kenya, over 850 Kenyan people had been killed and 216,000 enforced from their homes.
Mwai Kibaki stated that he won the election on December, ahead of the opposition leader Raila Odinga, which followed on with many Kenyans tortured leading to death and sorrow because of political and ethnic disasters। The African Union commissioner chairman, Alpha Oumar Konare, encouraged the community of Kenya not just to sit and watch the conflict but to take action, ‘If Kenya burns there will be nothing for tomorrow’, was his encouraging words towards the Kenyans.

The parents of Mr Dean, a teacher at South Camden Community School, are witnesses of the ongoing fighting. His parents were on their way to Katali from the town of Eldoret, when their car was stopped surrounded by men. They were freed after handing over a few shillings the men demanded for. The release of his parents was very lucky as many people are killed during this sort of situation. So far the condition seems severe and uncontrollable. Kenyan Red Cross spokesman Anthony Mwangi stated that ‘the violence is not stopping…it could reach a point where it is difficult to reverse’. It is probable that the violence will be the main point of discussion in Ethiopia in the meeting of the African Union where Mwai Kibaki will also be joining.
